Flash is a mature internet technology - most browsers have
the flash player "built-in". So many sites use flash
that a web user will almost always chose to download the viewer
if they do not already have it.
It can be used to design entire sites, but the compromise
with search engine friendliness is still too great, so we
tend to use flash within web pages to add visual flair or
to make simple applications.

It can be used to animate text, vector drawing or simple
